Forcing people to go through line-ups lasting many hours, herding them like cattle.<\/p>\n<p>It was a disgrace, I thought at the time. It was a demonstration that the terrorists won: we have institutionally succumbed to fear. But I kept my thoughts to myself.<\/p>\n<p>But now a former mayor of this great city said just that, and in no uncertain terms.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you, Jim Durrell.
