And it&#8217;s available on the PC.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, I won&#8217;t be playing it anytime soon. The reason? Stupid DRM.<\/p>\n<p>People who opted to purchase the game, including people who preordered it, were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2014\/05\/29\/10-reasons-why-the-watch-dogs-uplay-disaster-has-to-kill-drm\/\">unable to play<\/a> because DRM servers crashed and were unavailable. The illogic of screwing paying customers while doing very little to hinder the actual pirates (who, after cracking the game, will have a hassle-free playing experience unencumbered by stupid DRM schemes) baffles me.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2014\/05\/29\/10-reasons-why-the-watch-dogs-uplay-disaster-has-to-kill-drm\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6014\" src=\"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/ars-technica-watch-dogs.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"681\" height=\"254\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/ars-technica-watch-dogs.jpg 1021w, https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/ars-technica-watch-dogs-300x111.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 681px) 100vw, 681px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I refuse to use pirated copies but I also refuse to pay good money for something that is designed to treat me as a potential thief. Thief I am not, but neither am I an idiot.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe a few years down the line, <em>Watch Dogs<\/em> will be made available DRM-free on GOG.
