{"id":2932,"date":"2012-04-15T20:55:39","date_gmt":"2012-04-16T00:55:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/?p=2932"},"modified":"2012-04-15T20:55:39","modified_gmt":"2012-04-16T00:55:39","slug":"pioneer-10-on-the-simpsons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/?p=2932","title":{"rendered":"Pioneer 10 on The Simpsons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the very end of tonight&#8217;s episode of The Simpsons, just before the end credits, we caught a brief glimpse of Pioneer 10 (or was it 11?), along with an extraterrestrial intently studying Carl Sagan&#8217;s famous <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pioneer_plaque\">golden plaque<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/p10_simpsons.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2933\" title=\"p10_simpsons\" src=\"http:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/p10_simpsons.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"641\" height=\"357\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/p10_simpsons.png 641w, https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/p10_simpsons-300x167.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 641px) 100vw, 641px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But wait a minute&#8230; stupid alien is holding the plaque upside-down. No wonder he can&#8217;t make sense of it.<\/p>\n<p>And they didn&#8217;t get the shape of the RTG fins right.
