{"id":12584,"date":"2024-04-23T18:11:27","date_gmt":"2024-04-23T22:11:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/?p=12584"},"modified":"2024-04-23T18:11:27","modified_gmt":"2024-04-23T22:11:27","slug":"n-body-code-with-claude","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/?p=12584","title":{"rendered":"N-body code with Claude"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Despite working with them extensively for the past 18 months or so, our &#8220;little robot&#8221; friends continue to blow me away with their capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Take this: the other day I asked Claude opus 3 to create an N-body simulation example from scratch, in HTML + JavaScript, complete with the ability to record videos.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the result, after some very minor tweaks of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vttoth.com\/CMS\/physics-notes\/386\">the code produced by Claude<\/a>, code that pretty much worked &#8220;out of the box&#8221;.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center; margin-bottom: 0.5em;\"><video src=\"https:\/\/airy.vttoth.com\/images\/N-body-simulation-3D-color-weak.mp4\" controls=\"controls\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\"><br \/>\nYour browser does not support the video tag.<br \/>\n<\/video><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vttoth.com\/CMS\/physics-notes\/386\">The code is simple<\/a>, reasonably clean and elegant, and it works. As to what I think of our little robot friends&#8217; ability to take a brief, casual description of such an application and produce working code on demand&#8230; What can I say?
