{"id":1228,"date":"2009-12-05T00:34:23","date_gmt":"2009-12-05T00:34:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/?p=1228"},"modified":"2009-12-05T00:34:23","modified_gmt":"2009-12-05T00:34:23","slug":"rip-stirlitz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/?p=1228","title":{"rendered":"RIP, Stirlitz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vyacheslav Tikhonov is not exactly a household name in the English-speaking world, but to most Russians and many East Europeans, especially if they&#8217;re of my age or older, he is well-known as the Soviet-era actor who played <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Standartenf%C3%BChrer_Stirlitz\">Standartenf\u00fchrer Stirlitz<\/a>, perhaps the greatest of all fictional spies, and protagonist of the 1973 black-and-white television series <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Seventeen_Moments_of_Spring\">Seventeen Moments of Spring<\/a>.
