{"id":11477,"date":"2022-11-27T01:46:47","date_gmt":"2022-11-27T06:46:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/?p=11477"},"modified":"2022-11-27T03:07:39","modified_gmt":"2022-11-27T08:07:39","slug":"teheran-at-night","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/?p=11477","title":{"rendered":"Tehran at night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Someone just sent me a YouTube link to a video, made in May 2022, showing some of the nightlife in a Tehran shopping district.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center; margin-bottom: 0.5em;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NfrEg7Thv7Y\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>What I found especially interesting is the youth of the crowd, but also how ordinary, how &#8220;Western&#8221; most of them appeared. Were it not for the Persian script and the (rather loosely worn, I noted) headscarves, it could be a scene from any Western metropolis.<\/p>\n<p>And not a single Muslim terrorist in sight! Scandalous, really.<\/p>\n<p>No, I have no illusions about the ayatollahs&#8217; regime.
