His 1972 <em>Gravitation and Cosmology<\/em> remains one of the best books ever on relativity theory, working out details in ways no other book does. His 2010 <em>Cosmology<\/em> remains a reasonably up-to-date textbook on modern cosmology. And then there is of course the 3-volume <em>Quantum Theory of Fields<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/news.utexas.edu\/2021\/07\/24\/ut-austin-mourns-death-of-world-renowned-physicist-steven-weinberg\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-10746\" style=\"border: 4pt solid black;\" src=\"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Steven_weinberg_2010-240x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Steven_weinberg_2010-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Steven_weinberg_2010.jpg 629w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Alas, Weinberg is <a href=\"https:\/\/news.utexas.edu\/2021\/07\/24\/ut-austin-mourns-death-of-world-renowned-physicist-steven-weinberg\/\">no longer with us<\/a>.
