Just moments ago, I ran across <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Scaramucci\/status\/1354958306327089153\">a tweet<\/a> by Trump&#8217;s former director of communications (for 10 days), <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Anthony_Scaramucci\">Anthony Scaramucci<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Scaramucci\/status\/1354958306327089153\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10399\" src=\"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/scaramucci-headroom-tweet.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"457\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/scaramucci-headroom-tweet.png 600w, https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/scaramucci-headroom-tweet-300x229.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I found the reference to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Max_Headroom\">Max Headroom<\/a> amusing; it&#8217;s been a while since I last saw any mention of this once iconic television series (which I happened to like very much.)<\/p>\n<p>But then, no more than two minutes later, I ran across a Quora question that I was asked to answer, only to find an <a href=\"https:\/\/qr.ae\/pNqaG3\">existing answer<\/a> (good one, incidentally) that begins with a quote:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/qr.ae\/pNqaG3\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10400 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/bridge-headroom-quora.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"619\" height=\"734\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/bridge-headroom-quora.png 619w, https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/bridge-headroom-quora-253x300.png 253w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 619px) 100vw, 619px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>What exactly are the odds that I run across two completely unrelated Max Headroom references within minutes of each other?<\/p>\n<p>Of course the fact that Max Headroom was an AI personality living its own virtual existence is just icing on the proverbial cake&#8230;<\/p>\n<fb:like href='https:\/\/spinor.info\/weblog\/?p=10398' send='false' layout='button_count' show_faces='true' width='450' height='65' action='like' colorscheme='light' font='lucida grande'><\/fb:like>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every once in a while, strange coincidences occur that make me wonder if we live in a simulation after all.
